This book is beautifully written and captures themes that go well beyond working with your hands and craftsmanship. No matter what field you are in, there are pearls for your success and inspiration to strive to be your best. Not something I would normally pick up but the author is local. I ended up buying 4 more copies for all my siblings and another one for myself as I gave my original to a friend. Everyone I have shared this with has loved it and shared their surprise at how it either motivated them or caused introspection and enlightenment. Highly recommend as an unusual and interesting book club book! (And you will find yourself looking up and watching some episodes of his show to get to know some of the craftsmen — which just extends the pleasure of the book) Truly an enjoyable read. I hope he writes another one!
